Founded in 2017, Clean Energy Credit Union is a not-for-profit, federally insured, and state-chartered financial services cooperative. Its mission is to promote clean energy through financing, providing its members with specialized loans for clean energy projects at favorable terms. As a digital-first institution, it serves members across the United States, offering a range of personal banking services including checking and savings accounts, in addition to its unique focus on clean energy lending. Membership is open to anyone who joins the American Solar Energy Society (ASES).
