ChangeTip
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 2013 by Nick Sullivan, ChangeTip was a service that enabled users to send small amounts of Bitcoin, known as micropayments or "tips," to content creators and other users on platforms like Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, and GitHub. The company's mission was to facilitate the widespread adoption of Bitcoin by making it easy and accessible for everyday use in social interactions. In April 2016, ChangeTip was acquired by the home-sharing platform Airbnb, primarily for its engineering talent. Shortly after the acquisition, the ChangeTip service was officially shut down in November 2016.
