The Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA) is a statutory body established by the Government of Zimbabwe through the ZIDA Act [Chapter 14:37]. Its primary mission is to promote, facilitate, and protect investment in Zimbabwe for both domestic and international investors. ZIDA functions as a one-stop-shop investment center, streamlining administrative and regulatory processes for business establishment, including licensing, permits, and providing comprehensive information on investment opportunities across various sectors of the Zimbabwean economy. It was formed through the merger of the Zimbabwe Investment Authority (ZIA), the Zimbabwe Special Economic Zones Authority (ZIMSEZA), and the Joint Ventures Unit to create a single, efficient point of contact for all investors.
