The Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) is an international public institution established in 1962, headquartered in Dakar, Senegal. Its primary mission is to implement the monetary policy for the member states of the WAEMU, ensure the stability of the banking and financial system, and issue and manage the common currency, the CFA Franc (XOF). BCEAO plays a crucial role in promoting financial integration and economic development within its member zone.
