Established in 1996, the Association of Islamic Banking and Financial Institutions Malaysia (AIBIM) serves as the primary representative body for Islamic financial institutions in the country. Its mission is to promote and develop a sound, progressive, and effective Islamic banking and financial system in Malaysia. AIBIM engages in policy advocacy, promotes industry best practices, organizes training and development programs, and enhances public awareness of Islamic finance, thereby supporting the growth and integrity of the industry both locally and internationally.
