Over the years, it evolved into a prominent banking-as-a-service provider. In early 2024, the company announced its rebranding to "Zone" following an $8.5 million seed funding round. The new entity focuses on its layer-1 blockchain network, which is designed to facilitate direct and decentralized payment processing between financial service providers, aiming to eliminate traditional intermediaries and reduce transaction costs across the African continent. Zone holds a payment switching and processing license from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
