Founded in 1919 in Madison, Wisconsin, Anchor BanCorp Wisconsin, Inc. operated as the holding company for AnchorBank, FSB. It grew to become one of the largest depository institutions headquartered in Wisconsin, providing a full range of banking services to individuals and businesses, including commercial and retail banking, residential mortgage lending, and wealth management services. On May 1, 2017, the company was officially acquired by Old National Bancorp, and all AnchorBank locations were rebranded as Old National Bank.
