The Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) is the sole operator of the regulated securities market in the Republic of Croatia. Established in its modern form in 1991, it plays a crucial role in the Croatian financial system by providing a transparent, secure, and efficient platform for listing and trading various financial instruments, including shares, bonds, and commercial papers. The ZSE's mission is to develop the Croatian capital market, facilitate capital raising for companies, and offer investment opportunities. In 2007, it merged with the Varaždin Stock Exchange, consolidating the Croatian capital market. It operates on the XETRA trading system, aligning it with major European exchanges.
