Established on March 4, 2002, by the Vietnamese government, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) operates as a non-profit entity to implement the state's social policy credit programs. Its core mission is to combat poverty, create jobs, and ensure social security by providing accessible and preferential loans to households living in poverty, near-poverty, or just emerging from poverty, as well as students and other designated policy beneficiaries. VBSP has a vast network extending to communes and villages across the country, ensuring that financial services reach the most remote and disadvantaged communities.
