The company developed a mobile application that allowed users to aggregate and manage all their bank accounts, insurance policies, and investment portfolios in a single platform, offering a comprehensive 360-degree view of their financial situation. In 2017, treefin was acquired by the financial services group Wüstenrot & Württembergische (W&W) to strengthen its digital offerings. The treefin service was subsequently integrated and eventually discontinued, with its technology and user base being migrated to a new W&W platform called "W&W brandible" in late 2023.
