Torque SuperWallet
Information by Research Trustfinance
Torque SuperWallet, operated by Torque Trading Systems, was an online platform launched around 2019 that claimed to generate profits for users through automated AI-powered arbitrage trading of cryptocurrencies. Users would deposit funds (like Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) into the "SuperWallet," and the company promised daily returns of 0.15% to 0.45%. The platform gained significant popularity, particularly in Southeast Asia. However, it abruptly collapsed in February 2021, with the company claiming an employee had conducted unauthorized trading, leading to massive losses. The platform's CEO, Bernard Ong, disappeared before being arrested by Singaporean authorities in 2022 in connection with the widespread fraud allegations. The platform is widely considered to have been a Ponzi scheme.
