Founded in 2009, State Bank Financial Corporation (formerly traded as STBZ on NASDAQ) was the holding company for State Bank and Trust Company. It grew to become one of Georgia's largest community banks, offering a full suite of financial products including personal and business banking, commercial and real estate lending, and treasury management services. The company focused on serving communities throughout Georgia and also had a presence in Florida. On January 1, 2019, State Bank Financial Corporation was acquired by and merged into Cadence Bancorporation, ceasing to exist as an independent entity.
