Established in 2012, Sonali Polaris FT Ltd was a joint venture between Sonali Bank PLC, a major state-owned commercial bank in Bangladesh, and Polaris Financial Technology Ltd., an Indian financial technology company. The primary mission of the venture was to modernize Sonali Bank's technological infrastructure by implementing a comprehensive Core Banking Solution (CBS) and to subsequently offer these IT and software solutions to other financial institutions in Bangladesh and abroad. The company's operations appear to have ceased as an independent entity.
