Established in 2005, SME Development Bank Malaysia Berhad (SME Bank) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance Incorporated. As a key Development Financial Institution (DFI), its primary mandate is to finance, nurture, and develop Malaysian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The bank provides not only a comprehensive range of financing solutions but also offers upskilling programs and expert advisory services through its subsidiary, the Centre for Entrepreneur Development and Research (CEDAR). SME Bank plays a strategic role in supporting the Government's economic development agenda by ensuring that SMEs have access to the necessary resources to grow and contribute to the national economy.
