Sifchain Finance was a decentralized exchange (DEX) built using the Cosmos SDK, positioning itself as the first omni-chain solution for DeFi. Its mission was to facilitate the trading of assets from various blockchains (like Ethereum and other Cosmos-based chains) in a single, decentralized location with high speed and low fees. The platform used a native token, ROWAN, for governance and to settle trading fees. Despite its technical ambitions, Sifchain announced it was "sunsetting" its main platform and ceasing active development in July 2023 due to an inability to secure further funding.
