Founded in 2011, RupeePower operated as an online platform that aggregated and compared retail lending products like home loans, personal loans, car loans, and credit cards from multiple banks and NBFCs. The company's mission was to simplify the loan application process for Indian consumers by providing a one-stop-shop for research, comparison, and application. In April 2015, major Indian e-commerce company Snapdeal acquired RupeePower to build out its own financial services platform. Following the acquisition, the RupeePower brand and its standalone website were phased out as its technology and team were integrated into Snapdeal's operations.
