Reliance Home Finance Ltd. (RHFL) was a part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, established to offer a wide array of mortgage-based financial products. Its portfolio includes affordable housing loans, home loans, loans against property (LAP), and construction finance. Historically, the company aimed to enable homeownership across India. However, following severe financial distress and defaults on its debt obligations, the company was admitted into the corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP) in 2021. In 2022, Authum Investment and Infrastructure Ltd. successfully acquired RHFL through the insolvency process, and is now in control of its operations.
