Founded in 2018 in Singapore, Onchain Custodian (ONC) was established to provide a secure, insured, and compliant platform for the custody of institutional-grade digital assets. The company's mission was to build the foundation of a digital asset ecosystem by offering services like secure wallet management, transaction processing, and reporting for cryptocurrencies and security tokens. In November 2022, Onchain Custodian was acquired by Zodia Custody, a digital asset custodian backed by Standard Chartered, to expand Zodia's global footprint, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. ONC's operations and services have since been integrated into the Zodia Custody platform.
