Established in 2005, the Ombudsman for Financial Services (OFS) is an operator of a financial ombudsman scheme approved by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM). It functions as a non-profit, independent body to help resolve disputes between financial consumers and its members, which include licensed banks, insurance companies, takaful operators, and other financial service providers regulated by BNM. The OFS's primary mission is to provide an impartial, effective, and accessible alternative dispute resolution channel, enhancing consumer protection and confidence in the Malaysian financial services industry.
