The Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) is a corporate Commonwealth entity dedicated to fostering economic development across northern Australia. Established on 1 July 2016 by the *Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility Act 2016*, its primary mission is to provide concessional finance (including loans, equity, and guarantees) to encourage and complement private sector investment in infrastructure projects. NAIF aims to finance projects that generate public benefit, drive population and economic growth, and open up new opportunities in regions including the Northern Territory and parts of Queensland and Western Australia.
