Founded in 1998, National Planning Corporation was a key entity within National Planning Holdings, Inc. (NPH), which was an affiliate of Jackson National Life Insurance Company. NPC operated as a broker-dealer and registered investment adviser, providing a network and platform for independent financial advisors to offer a wide range of financial products and services, including brokerage, insurance, and investment advice to their clients. In August 2017, LPL Financial announced its acquisition of the assets of the NPH network, including NPC. The transition of advisors and assets was completed, and NPC officially ceased its brokerage operations and terminated its FINRA registration in February 2018.
