The National Bank of Kazakhstan is the central bank and a state body of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Established in 1993, its primary mission is to ensure price stability within the country. Its key functions include implementing monetary policy, issuing the national currency (Tenge), managing the country's international reserves and assets of the National Fund, acting as a banker and financial advisor to the Government, and regulating and supervising the financial market and financial organizations. It is accountable in its activities to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
