MicroAID is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating poverty through microenterprise development. Its mission is to help the poor in developing countries start and sustain their own small businesses by providing them with small loans (microloans), business training, and ongoing support. By empowering entrepreneurs, MicroAID aims to create a path to self-sufficiency, breaking the cycle of poverty for individuals, their families, and their communities. The organization was founded in 2002 and operates by funding projects managed by in-country partner organizations.
