Founded in 2000 as a local NGO named Maxima Cambodia, the organization transformed into a public limited company, Maxima Microfinance Plc., after receiving its license from the National Bank of Cambodia in 2010. The company's mission is to improve the living standards of underprivileged people and support the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises. It achieves this by offering a range of financial products, including various types of loans (group, individual, agricultural, business) and savings/deposit services, primarily serving rural and low-income populations across Cambodia.
