Launched around 2017, LoanBit aimed to create a decentralized financial ecosystem by combining a P2P lending service with a cryptocurrency exchange. The platform allowed users to borrow and lend Bitcoin to earn interest, using a proprietary trust and credit scoring system. It also featured an integrated exchange for trading various cryptocurrencies. The project conducted an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) for its LBT token but ultimately ceased operations, joining many other projects from that era that did not achieve long-term viability.
