Founded in 2012, Insikt, inc. was a financial technology firm with a mission to expand access to affordable credit for underserved populations. The company developed a proprietary, cloud-based lending-as-a-service platform, known as Lendify, which enabled banks, credit unions, and other lenders to offer small-dollar, credit-building loans using advanced data science and machine learning for risk assessment. Initially serving as the technology and research arm for the lender LendUp, Insikt later offered its platform as a white-label solution to other financial partners. In January 2018, Insikt's technology platform, intellectual property, and other key assets were acquired by Oportun, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), to enhance Oportun's own digital lending capabilities.
