Originally chartered on March 17, 1975, to serve the employees of Hartford Hospital, the credit union has since expanded its field of membership to include all affiliates of the Hartford HealthCare system. As a full-service financial institution, its mission is to provide its members with competitive financial products and services, including savings and checking accounts, loans, and mortgages, while operating with the core credit union philosophy of "people helping people." It is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
