The Global Adaptation & Resilience Investment Working Group (GARI) was launched in 2016 as a collaborative, multi-stakeholder initiative. Its mission is to identify and address the challenges preventing private investment in climate adaptation and resilience. GARI brings together a diverse group of private investors, corporations, banks, and research organizations to create actionable tools, metrics, and frameworks that help investors assess climate risks and identify commercially attractive resilience-related investments. The group is managed by The Lightsmith Group, a private equity firm focused on sustainable investing.
