Founded in 1994 as the Madison Area Community Development Loan Fund, Forward Community Investments (FCI) is a mission-driven investor and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) serving the state of Wisconsin. It aims to build a more just, vibrant, and equitable Wisconsin by providing capital and advisory services to nonprofit organizations and mission-driven for-profits that address the root causes of racial and socioeconomic disparities. FCI accomplishes this by offering favorable-rate loans, grants, and strategic guidance to support projects in areas like affordable housing, community facilities, and local food systems.
