Established in 1875, the County of Pender is a governmental entity located in southeastern North Carolina. It is governed by an elected Board of Commissioners and a county manager. The county's mission is to provide a wide range of public services to its residents, including public safety (Sheriff's Office, EMS, Fire Marshal), health and human services, planning and land use management, parks and recreation, public utilities, and administrative functions like tax assessment and collection.
