Chartered in 1961, Chocolate Bayou Credit Union (CBCU) was originally established to serve the employees of the local Union Carbide plant. It has since expanded its field of membership to serve the entire Texas Gulf Coast community. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, CBCU is owned by its members and operates with a mission to be their most trusted financial partner, returning profits to members through better rates and fewer fees. The credit union offers a full range of financial products, including savings and checking accounts, loans, mortgages, and investment services.
