Users could snap a photo of a license plate to get detailed information about a vehicle, its value, and loan options. The platform facilitated the entire transaction, including secure payments, loan applications, and paperwork. In February 2022, CarGurus, Inc. acquired the Blinker platform and its technology to enhance its own digital transaction and financing capabilities, leading to the shutdown of the standalone Blinker app.
