Founded in 1990, Business & Community Lenders (BCL) of Texas is a statewide nonprofit organization and a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Its mission is to build strong communities by creating opportunities for individuals and businesses to thrive. BCL achieves this by providing flexible and affordable capital through business and homeownership loans, coupled with business coaching and financial education, primarily targeting underserved and low-to-moderate income populations across Texas.
