The "Association pour la Monnaie Locale du Pays de Morlaix" is a citizen-led initiative that created and manages the "Buzuk," a local complementary currency for the Pays de Morlaix area in Brittany, France. The mission is to re-localize the economy, promote short circuits, support local producers and businesses, and strengthen social bonds within the community. The Buzuk operates on a 1-to-1 parity with the Euro and is available in both paper coupon form and as a digital currency (e-Buzuk), encouraging residents and tourists to spend within a network of approved local businesses.
