Founded in 1983, Aquila Heywood is a specialist technology provider for the pensions and long-term savings industry in the UK. The company develops and supports pension administration software, most notably its core platform, 'Altair', which is used by a significant portion of the Local Government Pension Schemes (LGPS) as well as private sector schemes. Their mission is to help pension providers and administrators manage schemes efficiently and accurately through technology. In 2022, Aquila Heywood merged with ITM, a pensions data management specialist, to form the Abri group, backed by BlackRock’s Long Term Private Capital. Aquila Heywood continues to operate as a key brand within the Abri group.
