Founded in 1953, APCO Employees Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution originally established to serve employees of Alabama Power Company. It has since expanded to serve employees, retirees, and families of various Southern Company affiliates and other approved select employee groups. The credit union's mission is to provide its members with affordable financial services, including savings and checking accounts, loans, and investment products, operating with a philosophy of "people helping people."
