Founded by Joselito Lizarondo, Swipe.io was a multi-asset digital wallet and Visa debit card platform that allowed users to buy, sell, and spend their cryptocurrencies. The company's mission was to make crypto accessible for mainstream commerce by providing infrastructure for both consumers and businesses. In July 2020, Swipe.io was acquired by Binance, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange. Following the acquisition, the Swipe brand and its native SXP token were gradually phased out and have since been rebranded into Solar (SXP), a community-driven and decentralized blockchain project.
