Founded by Joselito Lizarondo, Swipe was a platform that enabled users to buy, sell, convert, and spend a wide range of cryptocurrencies. Its flagship products were the Swipe Wallet and the Swipe Visa Debit Card, which allowed users to spend their digital assets at millions of locations worldwide wherever Visa was accepted. The company's mission was to make crypto accessible and spendable for everyone. In 2020, major cryptocurrency exchange Binance acquired a majority stake in Swipe, and by the end of 2021, it acquired the remaining outstanding shares. Subsequently, the Swipe (SXP) token and platform were rebranded and have evolved into the Solar Network, a decentralized community-governed blockchain project.
