Spin

Founded in 2016 in San Francisco, Spin is a stationless electric scooter and bike-sharing provider. The company's mission is to create 15-minute cities by offering accessible and sustainable urban transportation. Spin was acquired by Ford Motor Company in 2018, operating as a standalone micro-mobility unit. In 2022, Spin was acquired by Berlin-based TIER Mobility. Following TIER's merger with Dott in early 2024, the Spin brand and operations are being consolidated and rebranded under the TIER and Dott names, primarily in North America and Europe.
