Founded in 1997 by Greg Gianforte, RightNow Technologies was a pioneer in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) industry, specializing in customer relationship management (CRM) software. The company's platform focused on improving customer experiences through web, social, and contact center solutions. It was headquartered in Bozeman, Montana, and grew to become a major player in the cloud computing space. In 2011, Oracle announced its acquisition of RightNow for approximately $1.5 billion, a move to strengthen its own cloud offerings. The technology and services of RightNow have since been integrated into the Oracle Service Cloud, which is part of the broader Oracle Advertising and Customer Experience (CX) suite.
