OceanBank

Originally established in 1993 as a rural joint-stock bank, OceanBank transformed into an urban commercial joint-stock bank in 2007. Following a period of significant financial distress and misconduct by former leadership, the bank was compulsorily acquired by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) in 2015, making it a 100% state-owned, one-member limited liability bank. Today, OceanBank operates under the supervision of the SBV and is focused on restructuring its operations, enhancing risk management, and aiming to become a modern, multi-functional retail bank in Vietnam, serving both personal and corporate clients with products like deposits, loans, card services, and digital banking.
