Established in 1998, London Forfaiting Americas, Inc. (LFA) specializes in forfaiting, a method of trade finance that enables exporters to receive immediate cash by selling their medium to long-term foreign accounts receivable at a discount. By purchasing these receivables on a non-recourse basis, LFA assumes all the risks associated with the debt, freeing the exporter from potential defaults. LFA is a subsidiary of London Forfaiting Company Ltd (LFC), which in turn is wholly owned by FIMBank p.l.c., a global trade finance institution based in Malta. The company's mission is to facilitate international trade by providing liquidity and risk mitigation services to exporters throughout the Americas.
