Founded in 2012 by a group of parents, GoHenry's mission is to make every kid smart with money. The company provides a service that pairs a prepaid debit card for young people (ages 6-18) with a companion app that allows for parental control and financial education. Parents can set spending limits, assign chores, and automate allowance payments, while kids learn about earning, saving, spending, and giving. Originally launched in the UK, GoHenry expanded to the US and has since grown its European presence by acquiring Pixpay. The platform aims to build financial literacy and responsible money habits from a young age.
