Founded in 1960 by Terry E. Forcht, the Forcht Group of Kentucky is a large, privately-held group of companies. Starting with a single law office, the group has expanded through acquisition and organic growth into a diverse conglomerate. Its core mission is to manage and grow its family of companies, which operate across various sectors including banking and financial services (e.g., First National Bank of the Cumberlands), healthcare (e.g., Appalachian Regional Healthcare), insurance, real estate, broadcasting, and retail, with a strong focus on serving communities within Kentucky and the surrounding region.
