First Cal

Founded in 1977, First California Mortgage Company (First Cal) was an independent mortgage lender providing a wide range of home loan products, including conventional, government (FHA, VA), and jumbo loans. The company focused on providing personalized service through its network of loan officers. In 2022, First Cal was acquired by Guaranteed Rate, a major national retail mortgage lender, to enhance its market presence, particularly on the West Coast. First Cal now operates under the Guaranteed Rate brand while maintaining its legacy identity on a co-branded basis.
