Daokoudai

Launched in 2014 and initiated by alumni of Tsinghua University's PBC School of Finance, Daokoudai is a peer-to-peer lending and investment platform based in China. The company's primary business was in supply chain finance, connecting individual investors with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that required funding and were part of the supply chains of larger, well-established corporations. Due to a nationwide regulatory crackdown on the P2P lending industry in China that began around 2020, Daokoudai has ceased originating new loans. The company is currently in a "benign exit" (良性退出) process, focused on managing the full repayment of outstanding loans to its investors.
