Cosmos Network

Cosmos is a technology protocol, not a traditional company, aimed at solving the hardest problems of the blockchain industry: scalability, usability, and interoperability. It provides a framework, including the Tendermint BFT consensus engine and the Cosmos SDK, for developers to build their own sovereign, application-specific blockchains. The core mission is to enable these distinct blockchains to communicate with each other in a decentralized way through its Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol, creating a vast, interconnected network. The project's development is funded and coordinated primarily by the Interchain Foundation (ICF), with significant contributions from various independent development teams like Informal Systems.
