Originally founded as Caliber Funding in 2008 and later known as Caliber Home Loans, Inc., the company grew to be one of the largest private mortgage lenders in the United States. It offered a full suite of mortgage products, including conventional, government-insured, and jumbo loans. In 2021, Caliber Home Loans was acquired by New Residential Investment Corp. and subsequently merged with its mortgage subsidiary, Newrez LLC. The Caliber brand and operations have since been fully integrated into Newrez, which now functions as a comprehensive mortgage lender and servicer, continuing to offer a wide range of home financing solutions to homeowners and homebuyers across the United States.
