Originally founded in 1981 by the Ananda Bazar Patrika (ABP) Group, Businessworld is one of India's oldest and most respected business magazines. It started as a fortnightly publication and has since evolved into a dynamic digital media platform alongside its print edition. In 2013, the publication was acquired by Anurag Batra of the Exchange4media Group and Vikram Jhunjhunwala, and it now operates under BW Businessworld Media Pvt Ltd.
