BNG Bank

Established in 1914, BNG Bank is a statutory two-tier company under Dutch law whose shares are held by Dutch public authorities (the State of the Netherlands, municipalities, and a provincial authority). As a promotional bank, its mission is to be a committed partner for a more sustainable Netherlands by providing affordable financing to municipalities, housing associations, and healthcare and educational institutions. The bank does not aim for profit maximisation but focuses on supporting public policy goals in areas such as housing, energy transition, and infrastructure.
